Made it to Bermuda!

We pulled into Bermuda on Sunday morning. It was nice to get to the harbor. The night before had been pretty rough on everybody. It was very windy and the currents were really weird as we approached Bermuda which made the waves large and disorganized. I don't think anyone slept well the night before we arrived. I would compare it to trying to sleep laying in the backseat of a small car while a caffine-laced cab driver tried to go as fast as possible in stop and go rush hour traffic. If you wern't getting thrown one way you were getting tossed out of the bunk the other way.

Today (Monday) we set out to get some transportation while we are here. We got some nice scooters going now and have been zooming all over. (la rouge iron horse). We moved Koinonia down to the boatyard to have some work done on her. We'll probably be parked down there for a few days.

It's not likely that I will be operating much HF while in port. We'll see how it works out and if it looks good I will tweet when I am getting on the radio. I will be checking into D-Star when we get some stable wifi access. The location of the boat right now does not give us good access so we have to drive over to the St. George Dinghy and Sports Club for wifi. It's a nice spot that is all full of sailors so it's a pretty good crowd and the wifi is free.

As we approached Bermuda we made radio contact with Radio Bermuda to let them know we are heading in. Today we drove up to the hill that they operate from. I thought my ham friends would like to see the collection of antennas they have.
