Here is a picture from one of the surgeries on Otto. I knew things were looking bleak when the 50+ ball bearings came rolling out. The broken pieces of the part that failed were mixed in with the ball bearings. I was able to re-build the broken part but getting the bearings back in the circular path was not going to happen on board a moving ship. Update - When we took the bag of parts into the shop they told us they cannot even get them back together. It can only be done at the factory. I guess that must have not been a "user-servicable" part. The shop thinks they can get Otto back in service with some replacement parts!
